The Quarantine Diaries
So April started now. It looks like it's going to be another 6 weeks of this shit. Maybe by the summer there might be some semblance of normality but who knows anymore. After the last two weeks of no-lifing, I've noticed that people are starting to reach out and try to keep some kind of social connection going.
My Monday coffee has now been replaced with a virtual meetup. The picture above is from the week before but last week we were all able to join. It's been pretty nice. I personally think it works pretty well and we can have a normal conversation pretty much. We all pretty much end up talking about his whole quarnatine thing but that's pretty understandable all things considered.
I've also been playing Left4Dead2 with another friend and that has been really cool. I love the spraypained tags like "NOT A FLU" and "KILLER FLU" on the walls. I've been thinking of getting out more, maybe take out the radio and see if I can catch any quarantine chatter.
Gotta savor this
Q U A R A N T I N E A E S T H E T I C
while it lasts.
UPDATE
So I came back from my walk. Took a pretty decent 90-120 minute walk out there, the sun was setting nicely and the temperature was just right, brisk and cold. I caught maybe 3-4 conversations but it was hard to make out anything. I could make out some jovial conversation between a man and a woman. I tried to walk up to a high point in the forest to get better reception but it didn't improve.
Behind a forgotten office building I found two ominous looking, blue storage containers. They were in pristine condition and they made my imagination go wild. They are likely filled with valuable, but boring, machine parts.
As I turned back I picked up one more conversation between two older guys talking about the weather. Right as I was going to call it in and walk back I heard a weird child's voice screaming on the airwaves. I tried to pick up more and could only get small bits and pieces like
*******AaaaAAAaa AAAAAaa*****ppp**pppu u****aaAa**aaAA*****
I was too curious to let it go so I found another high point and tried to listen in. I could barely make anything out but listening closely I could make out children talking to each other and playing with the End of Transmission button. I think I could also make out what seemed to be an older man's voice, maybe their father? Anyway, curiosity satisfied, I went back inside.
Lot of people walking about, you can see almost everyone wants to get out and be out in the world again. Some bushes are pushing out leaves already despite it snowing yesterday. Life in the world goes on, despite all this.
Take a look at how the post from
Wednesday 1st of April 2020
upset the world!

I was clearing out some comments a stupid spambot was spewing out from the comments and I accidentally deleted the comment I had here when I was testing out this site when it transferred to PHP. The comment in all it's wisdom, said:<br /> <br /> "What is quarantine aesthetic you sick fuck?"
Let the world know how my words upset you.
