I haven't posted anything in a few days. MY INTERNET WENT DOWN. FOR ALMOST 3 WHOLE DAYS. It was like being sick or something, nothing in my life made any sense anymore. I was able to get some kind of connection going through my phone but it's not the same. This place was down and that was horrible. I was even looking into cloud hosting solutions.

On Saturday I was invited to the exclusive Saturday "levyraati" record listening session two of my friends have. It was great, lots of cool songs. Listened to a lot of new stuff and I really liked it. Most fun I've had for a while. I was casting my own votes with the new comments section of this site and that got me thinking...

I liked how voting in the comments stored all the songs played and that it would be a handy way of keeping score, since normally that was done with a Word document that inevitably gets lost after a few weeks. I woke up with a headache on Sunday and decided to spend the headache on making a Pandemic Levyraati service. Even if no one used it I needed a PHP project to work on and this was a great project to practice with.

There's a lot of features I want to add. I'm now struggling with some user stat stuff but I'll see how long that takes to get done. There are all of these things I could add and work on, just want to get the bare basics of what I had in mind down. I got most of it done on Sunday before the internet went down and worked on it a little on Monday and today. Little things here and there. I could spend all my time on this, hope I get the few things done that I want and I can sort of forget about it, having gotten the enjoyment of making the whole thing.

PANDEMIC LEVYRAATI

Above is a link to the open public version sign-up. I might toss the link around on Sunday once I get to try the system out with the guys this Saturday. I hope they like it.

Other than the complete Apocalypse that was losing the internet for three days, it's been pretty chill. The levyraati project has kept me focused. I went out for a few walks, had the Monday coffee via video again, took a picture of the mysterious blue crate I like to wonder about.

I also found out yesterday on my rainy walk what those weird conversations I could barely make out were. It was the radio chatter of the workers in Lidl. It was cool figuring that out.
