I spent a considerable part of the weekend watching the first season of Star Trek:Discovery. I've been meaning to watch it for a while but never got around to it. I watched the first three episodes a while back and I liked what I saw. I did think that the character of Micheal Burnham was written to be a little too erratic in the first two episodes. I really like the Klingon redesign, it not only visually pretty stunning, but I liked how they wrote them as these xenophobic warriors that are obsessed with purity. It gets mirrored by the later mirror universe episodes where humankind under the Terran Empire is exactly the same way. I liked the Ship of the Dead, it was pretty bad ass.The twist towards the end of the season was pretty cool as well and I really didn't see it coming.
I think the writing was pretty cringe-y at times, but otherwise it was pretty decent Star Trek fare.
I've also been watching horror/mystery channels more now on YouTube. Nexpo is always my go-to but also I found Atrocity Guide and That Chapter which are pretty cool. Fredrik Knudsen hasn't released anything for a few months and I'm not sure about ReignBot, so I've had to venture out.
Here's Nexpo video on a surreal cult that made a Kanye West game as a recruitment tool?

This video on the HaseKara Calamity was wild as well by Atrocity Guide:

Otherwise it was a pretty tame, hazy weekend. I had no idea what the fuck happened. I did something but not much really. Fuck.
Take a look at how the post from
